What is the difference between a Mazda 2 and Mazda 3?

I have considered buying either a Mazda 2 or Mazda 3 and just wondered what the difference is? Are they good cars?|||Size, Price, Performance, Safety are all better in the Mazda 3 then the 2. Mazda makes very good cars.|||Mazda 2 is a light car. The mazda 3 is a small/medium car. The Mazda 2 is has a smaller 1.5engine. The Mazda 3 has 2.0/2.3 or 2.0 turbo option. If you only need a small/light car the Mazda 2 and Ford fiesta would be my top 2 of choice at the moment.|||Its like Honda fit and Honda Civic, Toyota yaris and Toyota Corolla, or Ford Fiesta and Ford Focus. Mazda 3 cost more. Mazda is a great car manufacturer.
