Why does my 1992 Mazda Miata act funny after I start it sometimes and especially after it rains?

I have a 1992 Mazda Miata and just recently I would get in the car and start it and when i gave it some acceleration it would kind of putt for about 5 seconds and its acceleration would be crap and then it would get going and be good for the remainder of time. This especially happens after it rains.
